Job summary

The School in Dubai seeks a qualified Social Studies B Teacher to join our faculty for a 2-year contract. The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree with a valid teaching certificate/license in social studies or a related field and have a minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in an American curriculum setting.

Fluency in English is required, with IELTS/TOEFL as applicable for non-native speakers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a valid teaching certificate/license in content area and/or related field.
• IELTS or TOEFL for non-native teachers (6.5 for subjects taught in English & 7.5 for English subjects).
• Experience with current best practices, current teaching materials, and current instructional strategies as well as recent professional growth activities.

Responsibilities

• Teach Social Studies in a middle/high school setting.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with an American curriculum.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
