Position overview

In this role, you’ll help drive AES’s social media efforts by supporting the curation and creation of compelling content that resonates with the audience on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram. You’ll help craft engaging posts and create high-quality imagery, videos, and clips that bring the brand to life. Your creativity and action-oriented mindset will ensure that AES’s social presence not only informs but inspires.

In this role you’ll

  • Help develop and execute creative social media strategies aligned with AES’s unique positioning.
  • Assist in curating and creating content in our brand voice, as well as the voices of our two visible experts.
  • Craft engaging posts tailored for LinkedIn (company and personal), X, Facebook, and Instagram that drive audience interaction.
  • Help manage our social media community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner that aligns with our voice(s).
  • Monitor competitor social media activities and identify opportunities to differentiate AES's content and approach.
  • Produce and edit visual content – imagery, videos, and clips – to support digital campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.
  • Stay current with social media trends and platform updates to leverage new features and evolving best practices.
  • Monitor performance metrics to refine strategies and boost engagement.
  • Work towards specific growth targets for follower count, engagement, and lead generation across platforms.
  • Repurpose existing content into various formats optimised for each social platform to maximise reach and engagement.
  • Develop regular performance reports tracking key metrics and demonstrating ROI for social media efforts.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of AES’s ethos, balancing professionalism with a relatable, human touch.
  • Assist the marketing team with other projects or tasks as and when needed.

What you'll bring

  • 3-6 years of experience in social media management/digital marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution in any academic discipline.
  • Proven proficiency in curating and creating content for LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram (examples upon request).
  • Ability to develop and maintain a content calendar for multiple platforms.
  • Experience with design software like Canva and basic photography and videography skills.
  • Understanding of the algorithms for each platform and the key metrics that determine success.
  • Basic understanding of social media crisis management and reputation monitoring.
  • A creative, innovative mindset with a constant stream of fresh ideas.
  • A highly action and task-oriented approach to campaign execution.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and adapt when needed.
  • HubSpot experience an advantage.
  • Experience building a new account from scratch an advantage
  • Knowledge of the latest AI developments and how this can be used to streamline processes.
  • A clear understanding of brand positioning that highlights AES’s unique, professional, and approachable identity in the financial sector.
