Roles and responsibilities

As the Arabic Translation & Social Media Executive, you will be responsible for translating English content, improving and maintaining content across all marketing channels to achieve our business goals. Your main duties include managing the entire life-cycle of multiple translation projects in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for helping manage our social media platforms and interacting with our audience. Your goal? To boost our brand's visibility with on-time translations and create meaningful connections with our community.
What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with English Content Writers, Visual Merchandising Team, Marketing & Design Teams to plan and develop marketing Arabic content.
  • Write, translate & maintain Arabic content that speaks to various client-specific personas and market segments; creating a user-friendly experience for the reader.
  • Translate general (site-wide) customer information such as FAQs, Product Descriptions, About Us, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Help Pages, Project Articles, Newsletters, etc.
  • Translate 1800-2800 words / 20-30 SKUs a day (in case of product translation only).
  • Optimize content according to SEO best practices in collaboration with the SEO specialist for the Arabic website.
  • Perform quality checks at various stages of the process to ensure quality and accuracy (proofreading, final eye…).
  • Translate and/or Quality assure translated material from English “source languages” into Arabic “target languages,” ensuring that the translated version conveys the meaning of the original as clearly as possible.
  • Deliver weekly reports & update translation trackers on a weekly basis.
  • Social Media Content creation: Create high-quality bilingual, engaging content (text, images, and videos) across various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) with the designer and videographer. You will actively help manage our social media to ensure that all our content is produced and published in line with our business objectives and timelines.
  • Community Management: Monitor and respond to social media mentions, comments, and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Social Media Reporting: Track and analyze key metrics (e.g., reach, engagement) to measure organic social media performance and identify areas for improvement. Research and implement new social media strategies and best practices.

Required Skills To Be Successful

  • Excellent writing skills in Arabic and good English writing skills.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office tools.
  • Fair understanding of social media platforms, especially TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube.
  • Website and social media savvy and multi-tasking abilities.

1. Social Media Strategy Development:

  • Campaign Planning: Creating and implementing social media campaigns aligned with business goals, objectives, and brand voice.
  • Platform Expertise: Understanding the nuances of different social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube) and tailoring strategies to each platform's strengths.
  • Content Calendar: Developing and managing a content calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule and alignment with marketing campaigns, events, and promotions.

2. Content Creation and Curation:

  • Creative Content: Creating engaging, high-quality content for social media posts, including graphics, videos, infographics, and written content. Familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is valuable.
  • Content Curation: Sourcing and sharing relevant third-party content that resonates with the target audience and adds value to the brand's social media presence.
  • Copywriting: Writing compelling captions, posts, and call-to-action (CTA) statements that drive engagement and encourage user interaction.

3. Audience Engagement:

  • Community Management: Interacting with followers, responding to comments, messages, and mentions, and fostering positive relationships with the brand’s community.
  • Customer Service: Addressing inquiries, feedback, or complaints promptly and professionally, helping to maintain a positive brand reputation.
  • Building Engagement: Using strategies to increase likes, shares, comments, and other forms of engagement, such as running contests or polls.

4. Analytics and Reporting:

  • Performance Tracking: Using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Instagram Analytics, etc.) to track the performance of social media campaigns and individual posts.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Interpreting data and metrics to adjust strategies, optimize campaigns, and improve social media performance over time.
