Job description

The Social Media Executive will manage all social media channels, driving their growth by increasing followers / interactions / engagement. They will support the marketing team in delivery of integrated campaigns, always-on content, and Yas Concierge team monitoring UGC / community management.

The Social Media Executive will work closely with The Social Media Manager and all internal / external stakeholders to ensure that social media plans are effectively integrated with brand marketing and paid media efforts, leveraging any potential earned and owned media opportunities.

Working closely with the marketing leadership, the Social Media Executive will execute all administrative requirements including all team administrative requirements and other ad-hoc strategic initiatives where relevant. Act as a key liaison for Social Media queries.

Social Media Support:

  • Brief the community management team regularly to ensure they have the right tone of voice and correct information to respond to guests.
  • Manage all published social content from planning, production, post-production and go-live (visuals, videos and written across all channels)
  • Best utilize social media management / listening tools to inform future social media content / strategic plans
  • Develop and expand community and/or blogger & influencer outreach efforts in collaboration with the influencer team
  • Support the social media team with creative design of pages (i.e. cover, photos profile pics, thumbnails, bios, ads, X profile).
  • Work with the brand teams to ensure alignment across key messages and content pillars.
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the park operations, increase guest satisfaction and drive sales.

Agency / Partner Support:

  • Provide administrative support for the Social media agency, ensuring that deadlines are adhered to and plans are developed in-line with campaign / channel objectives, targeting the right market and relevant consumer with maximum reach / frequency.
  • Develop all social media agency briefs, ensuring that the objectives of each marketing campaign is defined and supports the annual media / channel strategy.
  • Provide administrative support for relationships with Facebook, X, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and other primary/key partnerships

Administration and Reporting:

  • Responsible for the weekly tracking of social media campaigns
  • Responsible for the development of the Weekly and Monthly media summary reports
  • Development of Campaign Expense Report across social media
  • Maintain the department’s files, including housekeeping of supplier contracts
  • Ordering and maintaining the team’s collateral for giveaways and prizes
  • Organize the logistics required for activations, shoots, meetings, conferences and special events
  • Maintain department team member records in Kronos, Oracle and Maximo

Essential:

  • Higher secondary or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience working in a digital space, preferably as a social media executive or Community Executive role planning, writing content and managing social media channels and campaigns in a business environment.
  • Understanding social media and how each platform can be used to develop awareness and engagement with audience.
  • Experienced in running social media campaigns with proven success.
  • Experienced in managing and control a crisis on Social Media.
  • Ability to provide social media reporting.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Outstanding copywriting and proofing skills.
  • Experience in using analytic tools.
  • Proficiency in writing, speaking, and understanding English and Arabic languages.

Desirable:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Journalism
  • Experience working in the leisure, tourism or theme park industry.
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt and react to a fast changing environment
