ITP Media Group is launching Complex MENA, the regional extension of Complex, the world’s leading youth culture media brand known for setting the agenda in music, sneakers, streetwear, sports, and pop culture. The Social Editor will play a vital role in shaping and growing the brand’s digital voice across social platforms, curating culturally relevant content that resonates with Gen Z and millennial audiences in the MENA region. This is a fast-paced, creative, and trend-sensitive role suited for someone who lives and breathes internet culture and has a deep understanding of Complex’s tone and aesthetic. The Social Editor will lead the development, creation, and publishing of content for COMPLEX MENA social channels with a focus on TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram, overseeing a network of contributors as well as taking a hands-on and in-front-of-camera role in content creation. The Social Editor will be deeply familiar with native content creation and publishing for TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram, with a focus on vertical video. Understanding of the COMPLEX brand tone is essential, as is experience in key vertical areas (Style, Music, Sneakers, Sports, Pop Culture). The Social Editor should have existing professional and personal involvement in these areas of culture, as well as demonstrated ability in social content creation and audience growth and an existing network of contributors and influencers in key cultural areas. The Social Editor must possess the editorial, creative, and technical ability to independently create social posts in the COMPLEX style as well as source from contributors. The Social Editor will also be required to develop social video formats with strategic and creative vision, source and develop hosting talent, and plan the long-term development of the COMPLEX MENA content slate and social talent network.


Requirements

Social Strategy &

  • Develop and execute platform-specific strategies (Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, and Threads) that grow audience reach and engagement for Complex MENA.
  • Manage the day-to-day publishing calendar and oversee real-time social coverage of trending moments, pop culture events, and brand tentpoles.
  • Write culturally fluent, witty, and on-brand captions that elevate every post and reflect the voice of Complex.

Content Curation & Creation

  • Curate the best of regional and global youth culture content for distribution across platforms.
  • Collaborate with editorial, video, and design teams to adapt and optimize content for social media.
  • Source, pitch, and package reactive content and develop a network of collaborators that taps into breaking trends and viral moments across fashion, music, sneakers, sports, and lifestyle.

Community Manager

  • Monitor audience conversations and actively engage with followers to foster community and loyalty.
  • Respond to cultural moments in real-time and maintain a strong, consistent brand voice across all platforms.
  • Work with influencers, creators, and fans to amplify brand visibility and sentiment organically.

Data & Performance Insights

  • Track social analytics daily and weekly to understand what’s working and why.
  • Prepare performance reports and provide actionable recommendations based on insights.
  • Optimize posting times, formats, and frequency to maximize reach, engagement, and follower growth.

Platform Development & Experimentation

  • Stay ahead of platform updates, emerging formats, and algorithm changes.
  • Continuously test new content formats (Reels, Stories, Shorts, Threads, carousels) to find what connects with the audience.
  • Contribute to social-first series concepts and brand campaigns aligned with Complex’s editorial and commercial goals.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience managing branded social accounts, preferably within a youth fashion or lifestyle media brand.
  • Deep understanding of MENA youth culture, internet trends, and the Complex brand voice.
  • Proven ability to create engaging, culturally relevant content across platforms.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone per platform.
  • Fluent in social analytics and tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics, CrowdTangle, Sprout or similar).
  • Experience with basic photo and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Bilingual (Arabic/English) spoken and written is mandatory.
  • Strong network of social content creators and influencers in target areas.
  • Comfort and experience working on editorial and commercial content.
  • Ability to take a public-facing role and serve as an editorial ambassador for the COMPLEX brand and ITP Group, as well as appear on camera for audiences.

  • Platform-specific performance metrics (reach, saves, shares, comments).
  • Success of social campaigns tied to editorial or commercial goals.
  • Community sentiment and brand consistency across channels.
