Job summary

Apt Resources is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to join a team focused on agricultural technologies in Liwa-Asab, Abu Dhabi. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated irrigation systems to optimize water usage and crop productivity on farms.

Responsibilities include configuring drip, sprinkler, and center pivot systems, performing ongoing maintenance, monitoring soil moisture, and educating farm staff on proper operation and safety practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Irrigation Technician or in a similar role within agriculture.
Solid understanding of irrigation systems, water management, and agricultural techniques.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to irrigation systems.
Strong analytical skills to assess irrigation efficiency and recommend improvements.
Excellent communication skills for training and collaborating with farm staff.

Responsibilities

Install and configure automated irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, center pivot) according to specifications.
Perform regular maintenance and timely repairs to ensure efficiency.
Monitor soil moisture and adjust schedules based on weather and crop needs.
Record system configurations, repairs, and improvements.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations on water usage.
