Job Description
This opportunity as a receptionist for a NEW skin studio offers an opportunity to work within the skincare and beauty industry. We are looking for a friendly and organised receptionist to join our team.
This role is one of the most important parts of the skin studio and the client’s journey. You are the first port of call and you will be responsible for meeting and greeting visitors to the business, offering a high knowledge of the treatments on offer – together with making recommendations and upselling as appropriate. The ideal candidate will be solely responsible for all receptionist duties as well as keeping the skin studio reception area in immaculate condition.
What is Involved:
- Offer treatment information by phone/email/whatsapp
- Maintain the cleanliness of the reception area and other common spaces
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and friendly manner
- Make appointments – sending confirmations
- Prepare guests' bills and take payments
- Open and close reception and the business in general
- Manage clients' expectations and ensure any complaints or compliments are escalated to enable improvements to the business
Skills
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience Required:
- Previous salon/spa/clinic experience would be an advantage and preferred but not essential
- Good verbal communication skills
- Must be computer literate
- Must have experience with booking systems
- Experience with Excel is preferred
- Excellent English - written and verbal
- 3+ years of reception experience in a clinic/salon/spa/hotel is essential
- Strong organizational skills
- An eye for cleanliness is vital
- Ability to handle client interactions – positive and negative
- Strong experience with scheduling and managing appointments efficiently e.g. no gaps between appointments, picking up on errors etc.
- Demonstrating initiative is essential to the role - proactively identifying tasks and opportunities for improvement, bringing any areas of improvement to management
