Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured private and group ski or snowboard lessons for beginners, intermediate participants, and advanced guests.
  • Assess each participant's ability, confidence, physical readiness, and learning goals before instruction.
  • Adapt lesson content and teaching methods according to age, skill level, learning pace, and individual requirements.
  • Provide patient and inclusive instruction to children and guests with special needs.
  • Demonstrate correct skiing or snowboarding posture, balance, stopping, turning, slope awareness, and equipment use.
  • Maintain full supervision of guests throughout lessons and ensure no participant is left without appropriate support.
  • Explain slope rules, safety requirements, access procedures, and expected conduct before entering activity areas.
  • Check skis, snowboards, boots, helmets, bindings, and other rental equipment before guest use.
  • Ensure equipment is correctly sized, securely fitted, and suitable for each participant's ability.
  • Report damaged, unsafe, or poorly functioning equipment immediately and prevent its use.
  • Monitor weather-controlled slope conditions, guest behaviour, and surrounding activity during every session.
  • Respond appropriately to falls, minor incidents, fatigue, anxiety, or changes in participant ability.
  • Follow emergency response, incident reporting, first aid, health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Maintain accurate awareness of lesson bookings, schedules, academy packages, prices, and available services.
  • Answer guest enquiries clearly and provide suitable guidance on lesson types and progression options.
  • Recommend additional lessons, academy programmes, and relevant services based on genuine guest needs.
  • Support academy revenue and customer-retention targets through professional upselling.
  • Encourage guests to continue developing their skills through appropriate follow-up programmes.
  • Participate in instructor development, technical training, assessment, and refresher programmes.
  • Assist with the orientation and practical support of newly appointed instructors.
  • Help organize academy competitions, demonstrations, seasonal activities, and customer events.
  • Maintain lesson readiness by arriving punctually and preparing equipment and teaching areas in advance.
