Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Senior HSE Engineer with a proven track record in ensuring workplace safety and environmental compliance by implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies for a high-profile client.

The key objectives for this role are:

  • Adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Identifying and assessing potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate risks.
  • Fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
  • Conducting training sessions for employees to raise awareness and promote safe practices.
  • Investigating incidents and accidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Continuously monitoring and improving HSE policies, procedures, and practices

Skills And Qualifications

Expected:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in similar role
  • Minimum experience of 15 years in the oil and gas industry, majority in onshore downstream projects

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures to ensure safety in the workplace
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE practices and regulations
  • Monitor compliance with local, national and international safety standards and legislation
  • Prepare and maintain regular reports on HSE performance metrics and incidents
  • Lead investigations into HSE incidents and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into operational planning and project execution
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations to ensure ongoing compliance
