Job summary

Al Tayer Group seeks a Safety Officer to enforce safety standards on construction and interior fit-out sites. You will inspect sites, ensure PPE use, conduct safety audits and prepare accident reports to prevent recurrence.

The role requires a Diploma/Certification in Construction Safety Engineering or equivalent, and 1-3 years of field experience. You will coordinate with HSE and Project Engineers and support client safety meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Certification in Construction Safety Engineering or equivalent vocational safety certification.
• 1-3 years experience as a safety officer in construction / interior fit out / manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the site during establishment and indicate needed safety equipment before work starts.
• Regularly inspect site for adherence to safety standards per government, ATS and project safety plan.
• Prepare site and equipment safety maintenance schedule and ensure adherence.
• Ensure fire regulations are followed and precautions are in place for quick action.
• Check PPE on site and ensure workers have required safety gear for each task.
• Conduct periodic safety audits on site and send weekly reports to HSE and Project Engineer.
• Prepare accident reports, highlight causes and propose corrective action.
• Identify unsafe practices, record nonconformities, and follow up for corrective action.
• Conduct regular Tool Box Talks and maintain records.
• Impart training and awareness on safety and first aid to staff and subcontractors.
• Participate in management/client safety meetings when required.

Education
