About the job: Site Quantity Surveyor (MECHANICAL)

Job Description:

The Site Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for checking measurements and re-measurements of quantities in line with the Contract Qualifications (preambles) throughout the construction stages. This includes monitoring milestone payments and ensuring accurate billing related to piping erection, fabrication, and erection software like Amogh or equivalent.

The role involves monitoring the performance of awarded subcontracts, verifying monthly payment applications, and ensuring accuracy during the subcontract lifecycle and at completion. The candidate should possess knowledge of work sequences, site activities in piping erection, testing, and NDT activities.

Responsibilities include preparing Bill of Quantities from Isometric drawings, plot plans, and layouts; formulating change orders for scope or pricing adjustments; assisting in the preparation of change orders for main contracts and subcontracts; and timely submission and approval of progress quantities and invoices.

The surveyor will maintain records of measurements, calculate the final contract value, manage variation orders, and attend site meetings to negotiate rates. Additional duties include submitting new unit rates for missing items, estimating additional work based on site instructions, verifying site measurements, and analyzing project risks.

The role also involves supporting subcontractor invoice certification, calculating costs for remaining work, reviewing contract terms, managing claims and disputes, and preparing financial statements for project completion.
