Overview

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct offshore installation/construction activities.
  • Review the project scope of work thoroughly to ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor daily work progress on-site.
  • Conduct daily offshore meetings with the crew.
  • Provide daily offshore progress reports to the Construction Manager.
  • Prepare internal and external reports regarding job status.
  • Ensure adherence to quality construction standards and proper construction techniques.
  • Review man-hours and forecast durations for offshore construction and installation activities.
  • Monitor productivity and schedule performance, investigating any issues.
  • Promote safety standards and culture among the team throughout the project.
  • Coordinate with the site team daily.
  • Plan offshore campaigns, including resource allocation and subcontractor services.
  • Develop procedures and close-out documentation for projects.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
  • Assist in project constructability, fabrication, planning, installation, and handover processes.
  • Participate in constructability reviews to minimize schedule delays and costs.
  • Manage QA/QC activities on-site, focusing on critical risks and KPIs.
  • Assist in preparing handover dossiers and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and guide the site team.
  • Coordinate daily with the company site representative.
  • Attend toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Track and report construction activities and progress regularly.
Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with at least twenty (20+) years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas fabrication/offshore installation, including a minimum of 2-3 years in the GCC region. Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position within the international Oil & Gas industry. Experience with ADNOC is an advantage.

Candidates should have experience in installation or refurbishment of offshore platforms, topside structures, boat landings, and miscellaneous structures.
