Job summary

Consertus is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join the site supervision team in the UAE. The role supports the delivery of construction projects by inspecting HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting installations for compliance with drawings, specs, and codes.

You will coordinate with contractors and disciplines, monitor workmanship, and verify corrective actions throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 5 years of relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical inspection or site supervision.
• Experience inspecting HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems on building projects.
• Knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and local authority requirements.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, submittals, and method statements.
• Familiarity with QA/QC processes and testing/commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections of mechanical works against drawings, specs, method statements, and ITPs.
• Inspect materials/equipment against submittals and report discrepancies.
• Monitor installation of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Document inspection requests, maintain records, and prepare daily reports.
• Identify non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, and electrical inspectors to resolve clashes.
• Witness testing/commissioning activities and verify performance.
• Monitor safety and report unsafe practices.
• Support snagging, rectification, and handover inspections.
