Job summary

Consertus is seeking a Mechanical Inspector in Abu Dhabi to oversee and inspect mechanical installation works on construction projects. The role ensures compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and project quality standards, coordinating with contractors and engineers.

The ideal candidate holds a mechanical engineering degree with 3–5 years hands-on inspection and supervision experience, and is skilled in reading drawings and applying QA procedures across large-scale developments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of mechanical inspection, construction supervision, or quality control.
• Experience on large-scale commercial/residential projects preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Proficient in MS Office and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical installation works (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping, equipment).
• Review installations against drawings, specs, method statements, and codes.
• Monitor contractors' work for compliance with materials and workmanship.
• Conduct inspections, witness testing, and commissioning activities.
• Identify defects and ensure corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records and progress reports.
• Coordinate with engineers and contractors to resolve site issues.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and local regulations.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
