Job summary

Khatib & Alami is seeking a Site Engineer - Water & Environment for Dubai infrastructure projects. The role supports the supervision team, acts as technical adviser on-site, and ensures work aligns with K&A specs and QC procedures. You will process submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings daily.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, 5+ years in construction supervision, and strong Arabic/English communication. UAE experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
• Chartered Professional Engineer certification or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of construction supervision services.
• Understanding of international engineering standards and codes.
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Good planning and organization skills.
• Strong attention to details.
• Strong time management skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
• 5+ years of experience in an engineering function in a contracting company or a construction supervision function.
• Experience within the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with managing client relations and expectations, as needed
• Support Project Managers with responding to client clarifications on technical and contractual issues, as needed
• Support Project Managers with organizing inspections by third parties, as needed
• Ensure client satisfaction with construction supervision services
• Review shop drawings, materials submittals and bills of quantities for accuracy of calculations. Notify theAssociate Project Manager of any discrepancies
• Supervise the installations of equipment on site.
• Attend technical and progress meetings to discuss and share relevant information for the smooth progress ofthe construction project
• Monitor site progress; make sure that the work carriedon site is as per K&A specification and QC procedures.
• Notify the Contractor of any necessary revisions.
• Review the contractor payment and compare thepercentages submitted by the contractor with the actualon site. Raise any discrepancies to the Contractor foraction.
• Monitor all safety aspects of the project and ensure strictadherence to the safety regulations as dictated by theSenior HSSE Engineer.
• Issue letters, site instructions and NCR, as necessary.
• Implement corporate policies and procedures

Job Summary

The Site Engineer- Water & Environment is a member of the supervision services team. S/He acts as a technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, contractors and site team. The jobholder monitors site progress and makes sure that the work carried is as per K&A specification and QC procedures. S/He processes daily site information, such as Submittals, RFI's and Shop drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Closely work with the project team to carry outall inspection subject to the daily form submitted bycontractor
