Section Head / Site Engineer – Railway Project

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Section Head Site Engineer to join our team for a major Railway Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site activities within the assigned section, ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities within the assigned section.
- Manage site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and site operatives.
- Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project disciplines.
- Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed according to the approved program.
- Review drawings and identify technical issues or site constraints.
- Coordinate inspections, WIRs, material approvals, and quality-control requirements.
- Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and resources required for site activities.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and provide updates to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate interfaces between civil, structural, MEP, track, and other railway-related works.
- Assist in resolving technical and construction issues on site.
- Ensure all works are completed to the required quality and within the approved schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant construction experience, preferably with major railway, metro, infrastructure, or transportation projects.
- Proven experience in site supervision and section management.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, QA/QC, and HSE requirements.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
- Ability to manage site activities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- UAE driving license is an advantage.
