Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for the Hafeet Railway Project in the UAE. You will supervise daily site activities, review drawings, coordinate with subcontractors and QA/QC teams, and ensure works meet specifications.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least 4 years in construction or infrastructure, with railway or major project experience preferred. Immediate joiners are welcome.

Qualifications

• Railway, metro, or major infrastructure project experience is highly preferred.

Project: Hafeet Rail – UAE–Oman Railway Project

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join our team for the Hafeet Railway Project, a major cross-border railway infrastructure project connecting the UAE and Oman.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.


• Monitor construction progress and ensure works are completed according to the approved program.


• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, surveyors, QA/QC, HSE, and other project teams.


• Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies or technical issues.


• Ensure proper execution of civil and railway infrastructure works.


• Monitor earthworks, excavation, embankment, drainage, concrete works, structures, and other related site activities.


• Prepare daily progress reports and maintain accurate site records.


• Ensure materials, workmanship, and construction activities comply with project specifications and approved standards.


• Coordinate inspections and ensure timely closure of site observations and technical issues.


• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material requirements at site.


• Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with project HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering


• Minimum 4 of relevant experience in construction/infrastructure projects.


• Railway, metro, or major infrastructure project experience is highly preferred.


• Experience in earthworks, drainage, concrete structures, bridges, culverts, or track-related civil works is an advantage.


• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and inspection procedures.


• Good communication and coordination skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment.


• Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods are preferred.
