Role and Responsibilities
- Acts as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractor, craft people and operative.
- Checks plan, drawing and quantities for accuracy of calculation.
- Ensures that all materials used, and work performed are as per specification.
- Oversees the selection and requisition of materials and plant.
- Liaises with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
- Liaises with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
- Communicates with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors) for site coordination and quality purposes
- Manages the site daily, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
- Plans the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
- Oversees quality control and health and safety matters on site.
- Prepares reports as required.
- Raises and coordinates with all concerned to resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Performs other duties assigned by immediate superior as & when required.
Qualifications Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in a similar position in Roads and Infrastructure projects.
- Experience in GCC is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure
