A leading construction firm in Dubai is seeking a Site Engineer - Mechanical responsible for overseeing mechanical installations on-site. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 4-7 years of experience in the field, and knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems. This role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills, with proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
The Site Engineer - Mechanical is responsible for overseeing mechanical works on-site ensuring that all installations and activities align with project specifications safety standards and timelines. The role involves coordination with contractors consultants and internal teams to ensure the successful execution of HVAC plumbing fire fighting and other mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:Supervise and inspect mechanical installations (HVAC plumbing fire fighting LPG systems etc.) on the construction site.
Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings specifications and relevant codes and standards.
Coordinate with subcontractors consultants and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues.
Monitor daily progress and prepare reports on work activities manpower and materials.
Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Support in planning and scheduling mechanical work activities to meet project deadlines.
Review method statements shop drawings and material submittals for approval.
Attend site meetings and provide updates to the Project Manager.
Handle site inspections with consultants and authorities for mechanical works.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of site activities and testing/commissioning results.
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 4 -7 years of relevant experience in mechanical site engineering preferably in the construction/MEP industry.
Knowledge of HVAC plumbing fire fighting and LPG systems.
Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE NFPA SMACNA etc.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
