Job description

Job Purpose:

The ELV Site Engineer will be responsible for the execution, supervision, and coordination of ELV systems installation at the site. This includes systems like CCTV, access control, structured cabling, fire alarm, BMS, public address, and other low-voltage systems. The role ensures adherence to design specifications, timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate on-site ELV installation works in compliance with project specifications and approved shop drawings.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth site progress.
  • Review and validate ELV system drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Ensure proper testing and commissioning of ELV systems prior to handover.
  • Maintain site records, prepare daily progress reports, and ensure adherence to work schedules.
  • Ensure site safety measures and procedures are followed in compliance with HSE standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and participate in QA/QC activities to maintain quality of installations.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with suppliers/vendors for resolution.
  • Assist in preparing redline/as-built drawings upon project completion.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Communication Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of site experience in ELV systems implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of ELV systems: CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, MATV, BMS, etc.
  • Familiar with international standards (NFPA, BS, IEEE, etc.) and local authority requirements.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and ELV-related software.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
