Job summary

Utopia in Dubai is seeking a capable Senior Site Manager to lead on-site construction of a high-end boutique hotel. You will coordinate between remote design teams and on-site crews to ensure quality, adherence to plans, schedules and budgets.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering or Architecture degree, 6+ years of on-site experience (Dubai hospitality preferred), and is proficient with AutoCAD, Revit and MS Project; relocation is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years across construction site functions (e.g. Inspector, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Site Supervisor, Assistant Project Manager, Construction Manager).
• Completed at least 2 full-cycle projects in Dubai, ideally hospitality.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project and other relevant applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site activities, ensuring full compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, proactively addressing safety and quality concerns, and ensuring construction follows approved plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Head of Construction to execute the construction plan, manage schedules, allocate resources, and oversee material procurement.
• Maintain high standards of quality control, ensuring all work reflects the level of detail and craftsmanship defined in the design.
• Monitor construction expenses at site level to ensure alignment with the approved budget, identifying cost‑effective solutions without compromising on quality.
• Coordinate subcontractors, skilled labor, and on‑site teams to maintain steady workflow, proactively address challenges, and foster a collaborative environment.
• Step in for the Head of Construction when needed, including attending meetings and contributing to key decisions.
• Act as the main point of contact between the construction site and the wider project team including the Head of Construction.

About the opportunity

• Ability to provide clear examples of resolving technical or logistical challenges during past construction projects.
• Proficiency in construction software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and other relevant applications.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices essential to successful delivery.
• Proficiency in English is required for communication with our international‑based management team and some site teams.

• Post‑graduate studies in Construction Management or a related field.
