Job description

The Site Engineer is responsible for the execution, supervision, and coordination of all on-site activities related to landscaping and infrastructure works. The role involves close collaboration with architects, engineers, subcontractors, planners, and site staff to ensure projects are executed in compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and within the planned schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Perform site setting out, levelling, and surveying to verify the accuracy of design plans and coordinate execution accordingly.
  • Monitor the use of materials and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved technical documents.
  • Manage the requisition, delivery, and storage of materials and equipment to maintain efficient site operations.
  • Interpret construction drawings and contract documents to guide execution and resolve technical issues.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and alignment across all project phases.
  • Supervise the site labor force and subcontractors, ensuring proper coordination and productivity.
  • Organize site facilities and resources to support efficient workflow and timely completion of works.
  • Ensure quality control throughout project execution, identifying and addressing any deviations from specifications.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly site reports, including progress updates, resource tracking, and site observations.
  • Address unforeseen technical challenges and assist in developing practical on-site solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in civil or infrastructure projects, preferably in the landscaping sector with exposure to irrigation, architectural elements, and basic MEP coordination.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge in civil construction, landscaping, irrigation systems, and site infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with project specifications, BOQs, technical drawings, and construction codes.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines including civil, architectural, irrigation, agriculture, and MEP on active construction sites.
  • Proficient in site layout planning, resource allocation, and daily site supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams, consultants, and contractors.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of construction software is an advantage.
