Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering in Dubai is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee station box construction activities, including excavation, temporary supports, reinforcement, concreting, waterproofing and embedment installations.

You will lead construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring safe, productive execution. Responsibilities include monitoring geotechnical requirements, coordinate with Engineering/QA/QC/HSE, and maintaining shift handovers and detailed progress records.

Qualifications

• Supervise and coordinate station box construction activities including excavation, temporary support systems, reinforcement works, concreting, waterproofing and embedment installations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction crews, subcontractors and equipment operators to ensure safe and productive execution of works.
• Monitor excavation and strutting activities to ensure stability, compliance with approved sequences and adherence to geotechnical requirements.
• Oversee reinforcement fixing, formwork readiness, embedment installation and concrete placement activities in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Supervise waterproofing works including membrane installation, water stops, joint treatments and protection systems.
• Ensure compliance with confined-space procedures, permit-to-work systems and project HSE requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections and risk assessments promptly addressing unsafe conditions and operational hazards.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Survey, QA/QC, HSE and subcontractor teams to resolve site issues and maintain construction progress.
• Monitor labor productivity, equipment utilization and material availability to achieve planned shift targets.
• Ensure all activities comply with project quality standards, inspection requirements, method statements and construction specifications.
• Maintain accurate shift records covering progress, manpower, safety observations, quality inspections, equipment status and resource utilization.
• Conduct effective shift handovers and communicate ongoing activities, constraints and priorities to the incoming team.
