Role: Site Architect

Experience in design management is an advantage

Key roles and responsibilities:
  • Lead coordination with other disciplines.
  • Assist the Resident Engineer with contractual duties on site.
  • Process contract documents & support contract administration.
  • Develop, modify, and review production drawings and construction documents.
  • Update and correct design documents.
  • Serve as an architectural resource for the Design department.
  • Resolve technical engineering issues within the discipline, ensuring progress on site.
  • Advise the project manager on technical aspects affecting construction.
  • Monitor interior architectural works for compliance with contract documents.
  • Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and RFIs related to architecture.
  • Review and process construction submittals, installation methods, shop drawings, and material proposals for compliance and appropriateness.
  • Monitor procurement and deliveries to support construction schedules.
  • Conduct site inspections for adherence to drawings, specifications, safety, and quality standards.
  • Lead snagging and desnagging to progress works to completion.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare site instructions and variation cost advice.
  • Oversee architectural work and ensure compliance with contractual and quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures.
  • Collaborate to ensure safety and environmental standards are met.
  • Review design drawings and specifications for accuracy and execution.
  • Perform inspection requests and support junior staff.
  • Perform other relevant responsibilities as needed.
Technical skills and experience required:
  • Degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years postgraduate experience, with at least 5 years on large projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills on-site.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D MAX, Photoshop, MS Project or Primavera, PowerPoint, and Office suite.
  • Good knowledge of building codes.
  • Authority registration preferred.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate teams or disciplines of moderate size.
  • UAE Driving License.
