Role: Site Architect

Experience in design management is advantageous

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading coordination with other disciplines.
• Supporting the Resident Engineer with contractual duties on site.
• Processing contract documents and assisting in contract administration.
• Developing, modifying, and reviewing production drawings and construction documents.
• Updating design documents as needed.
• Serving as an architectural resource for the Design department.
• Resolving technical engineering problems within the discipline and ensuring progress on site.
• Advising the project manager on technical aspects affecting construction progress and quality.
• Monitoring interior architectural works for compliance with contract documents.
• Reviewing shop drawings, technical submittals, and RFIs related to interior and architecture.
• Reviewing construction submittals, installation methods, shop drawings, and material proposals for compliance and appropriateness.
• Monitoring procurement and deliveries to support construction schedules.
• Conducting site inspections to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, safety, and schedule.
• Leading snagging and de-snagging to progress towards completion.
• Attending technical and progress meetings.
• Drafting site/engineer instructions and advising on variation costs.
• Overseeing architectural work and ensuring quality standards.
• Implementing quality control procedures and collaborating on safety and environmental standards.
• Reviewing design drawings and specifications for accuracy and technical compliance.
• Performing inspection requests and supporting junior staff.
• Performing other relevant duties as required.

Technical skills and experience required:

• Degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years postgraduate experience, with at least 5 years on large projects.
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills on site.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or 3D Max, Photoshop, MS Project or Primavera, PowerPoint, and MS Office.
• Good knowledge of building codes.
• UAE registration/license preferred.
• Ability to manage and coordinate teams of moderate size and complexity.
• UAE Driving License.
