Job description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Site Architect to manage architectural projects from concept through to construction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong command of design principles, building systems, and project coordination, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes. This role requires close collaboration with engineers, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure design integrity, code compliance, and timely project execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure architectural designs are fully integrated with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil works to deliver functional, safe, and efficient building solutions.
• Review and approve pre-qualification documents, material submittals, and detailed construction/shop drawings for accuracy, compliance, and feasibility.
• Identify and resolve design and construction challenges on-site, including conflicts between architectural and engineering disciplines.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess workmanship, materials, and overall quality, addressing any issues or deviations promptly.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers (structural, civil, mechanical, electrical), contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the project from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, zoning laws, and environmental standards.
• Lead and participate in design workshops and coordination meetings to align architectural and engineering teams, resolve conflicts, and refine project plans.
• Contribute actively to all project phases, with a strong emphasis on Design Development and Construction Drawing processes.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the Senior Site Architect and Project Managers on architectural issues and construction progress.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in architectural design and site supervision.
• Prior experience with both construction contractors and consultancy firms is essential.
• Preferably has experience working on luxury projects, high-end finishes, and/or hospitality developments.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design innovation, technical detailing, and construction oversight.
• Proven ability to manage construction phases and resolve on-site issues in high-profile projects.
• In-depth understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and local regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (required).

SKILLS

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, structural systems, and materials.
• Ability to read, interpret, and modify architectural and engineering drawings.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an added advantage.
