Job summary

MBZUAI seeks a Student Information System Manager to provide senior functional leadership for Banner SaaS, translating academic rules into system configurations. You will own end-to-end delivery, governance, and change management across Registrar's Office processes, with focus on data integrity and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with academic, IT, and vendor teams to ensure scalable, audit-ready SIS functionality supporting MBZUAI’s research-driven programs.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other relevant discipline.
• A postgraduate degree will be preferable.
• At least 6-10 years in student systems or registrar operations with process ownership.
• Experience leading SIS implementations or major upgrades (Ellucian Banner or similar).
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and training skills with non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead SIS Banner SaaS workstreams from configuration through go-live and beyond.
• Translate policies into scalable system logic and ensure policy enforcement.
• Define SOPs, controls, and auditability for data integrity and governance.
• Oversee UAT, test scenarios, data validation, and post-release stabilization.
• Design training and change management strategies for faculty and staff.
