Job description

The Showroom Manager is accountable for the total commercial and operational performance of the showroom and the wider retail sales activity, including pop-ups and events during the pre-showroom phase. The role owns sales volume, gross profit and customer experience, leads and develops the sales and front of house team, and ensures that stock presentation, deal governance and brand standards are consistently maintained. As a new business, the role also carries responsibility for establishing sales processes, disciplines and standards from the ground up, and for building a team capable of scaling with the business.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver monthly and annual targets for sales volume, gross profit and finance and insurance penetration across showroom, pop-up and digital channels.
  • Set, communicate and review individual targets for each sales consultant, and manage daily performance against pipeline, conversion and closing ratios.
  • Manage pricing, discount and trade-in valuation within the delegated authority, escalating exceptions for approval with a clear commercial rationale.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the sales consultants, Product Expert and front of house team, creating a high performance and customer focused culture.
  • Conduct daily briefings, structured one to one reviews and formal performance appraisals, and address underperformance promptly and constructively.
  • Manage rosters, leave and coverage across showroom and event sites, and identify training needs in partnership with the Product Expert and Human Resources.
Customer Experience & Quality
  • Own the end to end customer journey standard, from first enquiry through demonstration, negotiation, delivery and follow-up.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and complaint trends, personally resolve escalations, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Enforce CRM discipline so that every lead is recorded, worked and followed up within agreed response standards.
Showroom Operations & Stock Presentation
  • Ensure the display stock mix, presentation and merchandising meet brand standards and reflect current commercial priorities.
  • Coordinate with the Stock Controller on stock allocation, demonstrator vehicles, ageing stock and replenishment requirements.
  • Maintain facility, signage, safety and cleanliness standards across the showroom and at pop-up and event sites.
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure every deal file, pricing approval and payment collection complies with company policy and the delegation of authority before vehicle release.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable UAE consumer protection, VAT, and anti-money laundering requirements in sales transactions.
  • Safeguard company assets, including display stock, demonstrator vehicles, keys and customer funds.
Planning & Reporting
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting on sales performance, pipeline, stock and market feedback to management.
  • Contribute to the buying plan, pricing strategy and marketing calendar based on showroom and event performance and customer demand.
  • Plan and support pop-up, activation and event execution, ensuring adequate staffing, stock and materials.
  • Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilize sound judgment in decision making.
  • Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Work Experience
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in automotive sales, including a minimum of 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or management role within a dealership or automotive trading business.
  • UAE market experience is essential; experience establishing sales operations in a new or start-up environment is highly preferred.
Skills & Personal Attributes
  • Proven leadership ability, with a track record of building, coaching and retaining high performing sales teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage gross profit, discount discipline and stock turn rather than volume alone.
  • Confident use of CRM and dealer management reporting to drive performance conversations with data.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing ability, and credibility in supporting consultants on difficult deals.
  • Working knowledge of finance and insurance products and of UAE vehicle sales compliance requirements.
  • Resilient and adaptable, comfortable operating in a start-up environment across showroom and non-showroom sales models.
