Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Cashier to manage customer transactions and enhance the shopping experience. This role involves handling payments, issuing receipts, and ensuring cash drawer accuracy. You will also be responsible for maintaining the showroom's cleanliness and assisting with inventory checks. Job description

a. Receive payments by cash, credit cards, debit cards, and vouchers.

b. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers.

c. Calculate total payments received during a specific period and reconcile with total sales.

d. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure accuracy and sufficient change.

e. Balance cash drawer by counting cash at the start and end of each shift.

f. Focus on upselling products during final billing.

g. Wrap or bag sold items according to customer preferences.

h. Be aware of and handle theft schemes such as fake currency, credit card fraud, price changes, counterfeit notes, and quick change scams.

i. Be accountable for cash shortages and obligated to reimburse discrepancies.

2. Sales & Customer Handling

a. Greet customers upon arrival and assist with product information if no salesperson is available.

b. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the showroom.

c. Assist the supervisor or shop in-charge with new product launches, activities, and promotions.

d. Address customer queries regarding products, prices, availability, uses, and services.

e. Participate in inventory checks of all products and related stock periodically in coordination with sales staff.
