Job summary

Peerpoint is seeking a lawyer with 4–8 years’ post-qualification experience in Shipping for an international manufacturing client in the UAE. The 6-month contract role is based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, with full-time hours and potential flexible arrangements.

You will manage a range of maritime contracts including vessel transactions and various shipping agreements. Arabic fluency and regional experience are preferred, with a practising certificate required to practise in the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years' post-qualification experience at a law firm ranked top-tier for Shipping work.
• Ideally in-house experience within a shipping/maritime environment.
• Fluency in Arabic and Middle East experience preferred.
• Must hold a practising certificate to practise as a lawyer in the region.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse range of maritime contracts including buying/selling of shipping vessels and vessel-related agreements.
• Handle shipping services agreements, crew management agreements, concession agreements and port services agreements.
