Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and data entry software.
• Strong, accurate typing and keyboarding skills.
• Basic knowledge of shipping documentation (B/L, manifests, invoices).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication in English; Arabic a plus.
• Familiarity with shipping/logistics ERP systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operational and administrative functions within the shipping agency by accurately entering, verifying, and maintaining shipment, cargo, and client data.
• Enter and update shipment, cargo, and client data into internal systems and databases accurately and on time.
• Verify data for accuracy and completeness before entry; identify and correct discrepancies.
• Maintain and organize digital and physical records related to bookings, bills of lading, invoices, and manifests.
• Coordinate with operations, documentation, and customer service teams to gather and confirm data.
• Generate reports and summaries from entered data as required by management.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive company and client information.
• Handle data entry for vendor and customer master files, rate sheets, and container/vessel schedules.
• Support month-end and periodic reconciliation of records.
• Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
