Job summary

Celebrity Cruises seeks an experienced baker to oversee daily bakery operations aboard a ship. You will manage production, ensure quality and presentation of bread for daily menus, and support forecasting while minimizing waste.

You will work under the Executive Chef and assist in maintaining strict USPH compliance and clean, efficient bakery operations. The role requires at least three years of bakery experience in upscale settings, shipboard preferred, and completion of basic education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as a baker in upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation and control of bakery shop and production daily.
• Responsible for production, quality, and presentation of bread for daily menus.
• Assist Head Baker in production forecasts and recording leftovers to minimize waste and control costs.
• Assist in bread display setup at buffets.
• Ensure compliance with USPH rules and regulations daily.
• Maintain bakery cleanliness per Executive Chef’s schedule and minimize equipment damage.
• Prepare for USPH inspections as required.
• Requisition and transport items from stores to bakery shop as needed.
• Ensure recipes and yields meet company standards.
• Assist CDP Baker with daily consumption recap.
