Job summary

Gulf Agency Company (GAC) in Dubai seeks a Shift Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations and coordinate shift resources, ensuring safe, accurate and efficient contract logistics activities.

You will plan daily shift activities, manage staffing, maintain records, perform stock checks and monitor equipment while upholding health, safety and environmental procedures. Strong English communication and logistics experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a university degree; a diploma in logistics or shipping is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Indian subcontinent languages is an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn new systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily shift activities, assign team members according to workload and priorities, and brief warehouse teams clearly on their tasks.
• Manage warehouse staffing schedules and support day-to-day team coordination.
• Maintain housekeeping standards across the warehouse and keep required operational records up to date.
• Carry out regular stock checks during the shift.
• Monitor warehouse facilities, equipment and machinery, and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow GAC's health, safety, security and environmental procedures to help maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
• Work with colleagues across the operation to raise concerns, share ideas and improve ways of working.
• Support productivity and service quality by identifying practical improvements in day-to-day warehouse activities.

Job requirements
