We are currently seeking a passionate and energetic Shift Supervisor to join our Operations Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the development and implementation of operational strategies and plans.
- Drafting and executing plans to meet customer, service, quality, and financial objectives.
- Monitoring daily team operations to ensure smooth logistics activities.
- Supervising activities related to receiving, handling, dispatching, and mailing to ensure operational efficiency.
- Managing resources, including manpower, materials, and infrastructure, to deliver logistics services.
- Supporting team members and providing backup during absences or peak periods.
- Conducting performance reviews with customers and supporting business development efforts.
- Identifying opportunities for business growth and customer retention, and supporting the development of customer business plans.
- Contributing to the development of processes, infrastructure, equipment, and systems to meet capacity targets.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, health, security, environmental, and quality policies and legislation.
- Identifying issues and opportunities for site improvements and productivity enhancements.
Job Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in English curriculum.
Additional Qualifications (not mandatory):
- Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management
- Business Administration with a focus on logistics or operations
- English and Communication skills
Professional Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in Logistics Documentation and understanding of supply chain processes.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience managing teams in logistics or related fields.
- Experience with Logistics Management Systems (e.g., WMS, SAP, Oracle).
- Proven experience in creating and managing logistics documentation, especially in Jebel Ali.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with documentation tools like Microsoft Office and Power BI.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Knowledge of logistics software such as WMS and ERP systems.
Leadership Skills:
- Team management and mentoring.
- Project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Conflict resolution and performance evaluation.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and gather inputs for documentation.
Knowledge of Logistics & Regulations:
- Understanding of end-to-end logistics processes.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements like customs and international shipping laws.
Certifications (Optional):
- CSCP, Certified in Logistics, PMP, or other relevant certifications.
Soft Skills:
- Attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, and adaptability.
Additional Skills/Experience:
- Experience with automation tools for document management or data entry.
