Job summary

Acme Services in Dubai invites applications for a Junior Sheet Metal Designer to join our manufacturing team. You will create shop and fabrication drawings, develop flat patterns, and prepare CNC laser punching and bending programs, ensuring manufacturability with engineers and production teams.

The role requires UAE-based candidates with 1–3 years of sheet metal design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and knowledge of bend radii, K-factors, and tolerances.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Design/Drafting is required.
• Hands-on experience in sheet metal design and fabrication preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings and ensure manufacturability.

WE ARE HIRING | SHEET METAL DESIGNER (JUNIOR)

Location: UAE – UAE-based candidates only

We are looking for a Junior Sheet Metal Designer with hands-on experience in sheet metal design and fabrication within a UAE-based manufacturing industry/factory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare shop drawings and fabrication drawings for sheet metal components and assemblies.
• Develop flat patterns, bend allowances, and unfolding details.
• Prepare CNC laser cutting, punching, and bending programs.
• Review technical drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, revisions, tolerances, and design documentation.
• Support production teams in resolving design and fabrication issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in sheet metal design and fabrication.
• Mandatory UAE experience in a sheet metal manufacturing industry/factory.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks or equivalent 3D sheet metal software.
• Good knowledge of laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, and finishing.
• Understanding of bend radius, K-factor, material thickness, and tolerances.
• Experience with electrical enclosures, cabinets, and panel bodies will be an advantage.

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting Technology, or a related field.

Important Eligibility Criteria:

• Only candidates currently based in the UAE are eligible.
• UAE sheet metal manufacturing/factory experience is mandatory.
• Candidates without relevant UAE manufacturing experience will not be considered.
