Job summary

Steel Square Glass & Aluminium L.L.C. is seeking a skilled 2D/3D Sheet Metal Draftsman to join our Abu Dhabi team. You will prepare fabrication drawings and 3D models for customized metalwork and architectural fabrication projects.

The ideal candidate has practical experience in 2D/3D drafting, sheet metal design, and proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor. Reading technical drawings and coordinating with production to ensure fabrication-ready drawings are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• Practical experience in 2D/3D drafting and sheet metal design.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
• Reading technical drawings and understanding sheet metal fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D fabrication drawings and 3D models from client requirements and specs.
• Develop sheet metal designs, flat patterns, cutting layouts and bends.
• Prepare production-ready drawings for CNC laser cutting, bending, and assembly.
• Coordinate with production to ensure drawings are fabrication-ready.
• Review dimensions and material specs for accuracy prior to production.
• Revise drawings based on client feedback and project needs.
• Assist team in resolving drawing and fabrication-related issues.
