The role involves vessel attendance during short port stays, coordinating with ship staff and delivering timely technical reports for vessels in India, UAE and international locations.

Qualifications

• Experience with marine automation and boiler systems (onboard).
• Familiarity with Modbus RS485 and other industrial protocols.
• Knowledge of marine class requirements and IMO safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and commission electrical, electronic and marine automation systems with emphasis on auxiliary boiler automation.
• Attend vessels at ports and anchorages, coordinate with ship staff and prepare service reports.
• Test and commission transmitters, PID controllers, relays, actuators and associated instrumentation; interpret ladder logic.

About the role

Seeking a hands-on Service Technician Automation Engineer to troubleshoot, repair and commission electrical, electronic and marine automation systems with particular emphasis on auxiliary boiler automation. The role involves vessel attendance during short port stays, effective coordination with ship staff and timely technical reporting, supports vessels in India, the UAE and international locations.

• PLC diagnostic tools and other instruments to verify faults and restore safe operation

Working style and travel
