Job summary

Api Energy FZC seeks an experienced Boiler Technical Specialist to oversee the full lifecycle of industrial boiler systems from installation to commissioning and maintenance. The role requires deep hands-on boiler expertise, ability to interpret P&IDs and schematics, and strong reporting skills, with contrastive project experience in the UAE or KSA being highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission boiler systems and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on boilers and controls.
• Conduct hydro-testing, safety valve checks, and emissions testing per specs.
• Read, interpret, and review P&IDs, process diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Prepare daily progress reports, TC certificates, and RCA reports for clients.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced strong Boiler Technical Specialist strong to oversee and execute the complete lifecycle of industrial boiler systems from new installations and retrofits to maintenance testing and commissioning The ideal candidate possesses deep hands-on expertise with boiler operations a strong ability to interpret engineering drawings P IDs and schematics and excellent technical reporting skills Prior project experience in the UAE or KSA region is highly desirable strong

Key Responsibilities

• Installation Commissioning strong Execute the mechanical and electrical installation cold testing and hot commissioning of new boiler systems and auxiliary equipment Perform site integration safety interlock checks and performance optimization for existing boiler setups during overhauls or upgrades
• Maintenance Troubleshooting strong Conduct preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on industrial boilers burners feed water pumps valves and combustion control panels Diagnose complex mechanical electrical and instrumentation faults and execute timely corrective measures to minimize downtime
• Testing Quality Assurance strong Perform hydro-testing safety valve setting combustion efficiency testing and emission checks in compliance with industry codes and project specifications
• Engineering Drawings Schematics strong Read interpret and review Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams P IDs process flow diagrams isometric drawings and electrical control schematics under established system guidelines
• Reporting Documentation strong Prepare detailed daily progress reports Testing and Commissioning T C certificates handover documents and root-cause analysis RCA reports for client and management review

Education

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical trade certification/ITI.

Experience

• Minimum [X] years of hands-on experience in industrial boiler installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning within power plants, oil & gas, manufacturing, or district cooling sectors.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in reading and navigating P&IDs, loop diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of local and international safety standards (ASME, BS, or equivalent).

Driving License

• A valid UAE or KSA Driving License will be considered a strong added advantage.

Soft Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to manage site teams and coordinate with clients under pressure.
