Job description

The service technician will be responsible for the refurbishment assembly and testing processes of wet and dry gas seals in the Dubai service center this will include working to monthly forecasts and test plans.

SPECIFIC DUTIES ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

The technician will perform activities related to the repair and manufacture of new and refurbished wet and dry gas seals. Those activities include:

  • Strip inspect and assemble of wet and dry gas seals.
  • Grooving and face calibration requirements
  • Dismantling and cleaning of seals components under repair.
  • Assemble and repair mechanical seals and seal cartridges in accordance with John Crane internal work instructions and specifications.
  • Define and write strip and inspection reports
  • Complete the set up and test of different types/sizes of wet and dry gas seals
  • Manual machining of components where required.
  • Lapping polishing and cleaning when necessary following the set standard processes.

Qualifications :

  • Diploma or University degree in Engineering or relevant vocational technical qualification
  • 3 years of professional experience in proactive multinational & multicultural environment.
  • Excellent knowledge in dry & wet seals.
