is seeking an experienced Service Engineer / Workshop Manager to oversee workshop operations, equipment servicing, maintenance, repairs, testing, and technical support for oilfield and industrial equipment in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical expertise, strong workshop management experience, and leadership skills to coordinate technicians, drive efficiency, and ensure HSE compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 7–10 years of relevant workshop management, servicing, or maintenance experience.
• Experience in oilfield equipment/oil & gas service is preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pumps, compressors, and diesel engines.
• Ability to manage workshop teams and maintenance operations independently.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, maintenance documentation, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations, maintenance schedules, manpower, and resources.
• Supervise technicians, welders, fitters, and workshop staff.
• Oversee servicing, troubleshooting, repairs, and testing of pumps, engines, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
• Plan preventive and corrective maintenance and ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance plans, and technical recommendations.
• Coordinate procurement of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Maintain equipment records, inventory, and service histories.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies, quality standards, and equipment certifications.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, OEMs, and internal teams for requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve workshop productivity and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in workshop management, equipment servicing, or maintenance.
• Strong experience in the oilfield equipment or oil & gas service industry is preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pumps, compressors, and diesel engines.
• Proven ability to manage workshop teams and maintenance operations independently.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, maintenance documentation, and MS Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, troubleshooting, and reporting skills.
• UAE experience and a valid UAE driving licence will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate: A technically strong professional with hands-on equipment servicing experience and the leadership skills to independently manage workshop operations.
