The Service Engineer - Mechanical will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment at client sites or within the organization. The role demands a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to provide effective solutions under pressure. The engineer will also play a key role in supporting customers, ensuring timely service, and maintaining equipment efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
Install and commission mechanical systems and equipment at client locations
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance
Diagnose mechanical faults and implement timely repair solutions
Provide technical support and guidance to clients on equipment operation and best practices
Maintain detailed service records, reports, and documentation for all service activities
Coordinate with the internal team to procure necessary spare parts and tools
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols during all service activities
Provide on-site training to clients for proper equipment usage
Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and process improvements
Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service requests
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proven experience as a mechanical service engineer or technician
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance software
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Willingness to travel frequently to client sites
Valid driver's license (if required for field service)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
