What you will do
The Senior Service Engineer will report directly to the Field Line Manager and will be based in Dubai. As part of the Controls & Security Systems Aftermarket team, you will install, service, repair, and carry out preventative maintenance on BMS (Controls) systems.
You will support the Service & Maintenance team in designing and executing projects. Working within a dynamic environment, you will have opportunities to develop your technical and project management skills.
How you will do it
Using your strong BMS systems technical knowledge, you will execute site surveys, carry out full dilapidation reports, inspect refrigeration components, and recommend system enhancements, upgrades, or replacements as needed. As an experienced Service Engineer, your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery of inspection, testing, and maintenance of BMS-controlled equipment such as HVAC, CRAC units, chillers, UPS, and generators.
- Planning, coordinating, and supervising daily activities and resources under the contract agreement.
- Coordinating with head office support departments to obtain timely support.
- Providing technical advice and recommendations based on field observations and maintenance needs.
- Implementing work methods and procedures consistently, and recommending improvements.
- Advising on the availability of materials, spares, consumables, and tools for smooth operations.
- Preparing and reviewing performance reports, such as failure analyses and root cause reports, and monitoring the effectiveness of preventive maintenance programs.
- Executing projects with regard to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards, liaising with the Company Quality & HSE manager.
- Ensuring work is carried out as planned, complying with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Sending reports for planned and completed work as per the agreed scope of services.
What we look for
Required
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting various BMS systems.
- Experience in preparing reports and communicating effectively.
- Experience in servicing and maintaining BMS-controlled equipment such as HVAC, CRAC units, chillers, UPS, and generators.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications used in installation activities.
- Ability to produce high-quality professional documents for clients and internal use.
- Understanding of contractual documents and obligations, with experience in official communications with clients and vendors.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
