About the Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Senior Welder Technician - Logistics Centre to join the resort’s Logistics Center team.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Supervise and guide fabrication and welding teams in daily operations.
• Review and approve technical drawings, blueprints, and job instructions.
• Ensure all welding and fabrication work meets structural, aesthetic, and safety standards.
• Fabrication & Welding
• Operate advanced welding equipment (MIG, TIG, SMAW, FCAW) and fabrication tools.
• Lead the assembly and welding of complex metal structures such as frames, racks, and crates.
• Perform joint preparation, finishing, and inspections for quality assurance.
• Maintenance & Repairs
• Oversee inspection and repair of metal fixtures, containers, and logistics equipment.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed for all fabrication tools and machinery.
• Maintain documentation of welding certifications and inspection reports.
• Operational Support
• Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to develop custom metal solutions for storage and transport.
• Support load-ins, load-outs, and refurbishment projects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication workspace.
• Compliance & Safety
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure team adherence to PPE and hazard controls.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and Wynn safety standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings regularly.
• Team Development
• Mentor junior fabricators and welders.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training or upskilling.
• Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Diploma or equivalent; a degree Diploma or degree in Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in industrial welding and fabrication, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Certification in welding (AWS, ASME, or equivalent) required.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and operating advanced fabrication machinery.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Expert-level technical skills in welding and fabrication.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
