Mashreq is seeking a Manager of WM Compliance to lead the Embedded Compliance Functional team covering Private Banking, Mashreq Gold, and Emirati segments within RBG and Wealth Management products. You will establish strategy for due diligence on wealth customers, ensuring high-quality EDD reviews and serving as the primary escalation for complex risk assessments and PEP cases.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree minimum; Professional qualifications an advantage.
• At least 10 years of experience in AML/KYC/compliance/financial crime operations.
• Strong expertise in EDD, AML/CFT, sanctions, and customer risk assessment.
• Ability to review and challenge analyst assessments expertly and effectively.
• Strong understanding of PEPs, complex structures, SoW/SoF methodologies.
• Practical experience in Private Banking type professional environments.
• Excellent judgment and escalation capability.
• Strong quality control and documentation standards.
• Effective stakeholder coordination and team management skills.

Mansioni

• Supervise and guide analysts through EDD on high-risk clients (PEP, HNWI, offshore entities).
• Ensure EDD reviews across onboarding, triggers and KYC refreshes are high quality and compliant.
• Monitor case allocation, workflow and team productivity for volume management.
• Validate SoW/SoF assessments for adequacy and credibility.
• Ensure risk conclusions are well-supported and audit-ready.
• Oversee sanctions, PEP, watchlist and adverse media screening outputs.
• Act as escalation point for complex cases and high-risk scenarios.
• Drive 1LOD KYC completion and escalate recurring challenges to leadership.
• Assess red flags related to ML/TF, sanctions evasion, fraud and corruption.
• Coordinate with AML Investigations, Sanctions and internal stakeholders to resolve queries.
• Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to analysts with real-life lessons.
