Job summary

Mashreq is seeking a senior Compliance leader to head the MGN Business Banking team within the Retail Banking Group. You will oversee compliance operations, coordinate digitization initiatives, and ensure adherence to UAE regulations across key deliverables.

Responsibilities include leading a team, performing quality checks, and driving automation and AI-enabled improvements in compliance processes, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Graduate with 7-10 years in banking, specifically KYC/EDD for business/corporate clients.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of UAE regulations.
• Proficient in Excel, presentation skills, and AI tools.
• Logical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in coordinating / supporting compliance processes / system solutions.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Experience in implementing digital transformation initiatives in compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead MGN Business Banking team and oversee operations of the squad within Business Banking Compliance.
• RBG Compliance SPOC for digitization / automation initiatives in coordination with Business and Compliance Digital Studio and Innovation unit.
• Conduct quality checks for key deliverables across Retail Banking Group compliance squads, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Disseminate strategic guidance, lead assigned teams, and drive digital transformation to enhance compliance effectiveness.
• Keep updated on applicable regulatory guidelines and support implementation of initiatives by Unit head.
• Conduct quality checks for discounting rules (Ename & L1/L2 High-Risk Nationality) for RBG.
• Centralize incident management and escalate to senior management/RCU for CBUAE reporting.
