Job summary

WSP seeks a seasoned Principal Engineer - Water to lead the design and delivery of major UAE water infrastructure projects, including potable water, drainage, and hydrological systems. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, engage with authorities, and steer technical strategy across large programmes.

You bring 10–12+ years of UAE water experience, strong modelling skills (InfoWorks, WaterGEMS, EPANET), and a proven track record delivering complex projects within regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
• 10–12+ years of UAE water infrastructure design experience.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale water or wet utilities projects specifically within the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of water infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical leadership in hydrology, hydraulic modelling, and wet utilities design.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across civil, environmental, and other disciplines.
• Deliver design reports, modelling outputs, drawings, and tender documents.
• Engage with clients and authorities to present solutions and secure approvals.
• Mentor and develop junior/mid-level engineers.
• Support project managers in planning, budgeting, and risk management.
