Job summary

Abu Dhabi Investment Company seeks a Senior Execution Trader to join our Public Markets Execution Trading team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on execution across global macro markets with emphasis on derivatives-based implementation in interest rate and FX, including options.

The successful candidate will work closely with PMs, risk, operations, and counterparties to ensure best execution, manage liquidity, and support the multi-asset overlay function across liquid global markets.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience at an asset manager, hedge fund, sovereign wealth fund, pension fund, bank trading desk, or multi-asset investment platform.
• Strong hands-on experience executing across global markets with focus on derivatives and options trading.
• Experience collaborating with portfolio managers, asset allocation teams, risk teams, treasury teams, operations, and external counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution on synthetic credit instruments, including CDS, CDX, iTraxx, credit index options, and total return swaps.
• Design execution strategy for interest rate and FX markets, with emphasis on options trading.
• Support the in-house multi asset overlay function by executing on tactical and strategic asset allocation decisions across liquid global markets and portfolio rebalancing.
• Provide execution support for long-only public market portfolios, external hedge fund exposures, and hedging programs.
• Assess optimal implementation routes across futures, swaps, forwards, and options, considering liquidity, cost, funding, margin, and operational complexity.
• Monitor market liquidity, bid-offer conditions, dealer balance sheet constraints, clearing costs, roll costs, convexity, carry, and basis relationships across derivatives.
• Collaborate with operations, legal, compliance, risk, and counterparties to ensure smooth execution, confirmation, settlement, collateral management, and post-trade processing.
• Ensure trades align with internal policies, risk limits, compliance requirements, and best execution standards.
• Contribute to trade cost analysis, execution quality monitoring, counterparty performance assessment, and liquidity analysis.
• Support the development of tools and dashboards for monitoring execution performance.
• Help institutionalize trading processes as the fund’s public markets platform grows in complexity and sophistication.
