Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Voice Consultant to design, implement, and support enterprise voice infrastructure. This role involves managing VoIP, SIP, and unified communications platforms while leading projects and resolving complex issues. You will work across multiple technologies, mentor junior engineers, and help drive innovation in voice solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise voice infrastructure including VoIP, PBX, SIP, and SBCs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice issues and service disruptions.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct regular assessments, and implement improvements.
  • Manage voice-related projects, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on voice infrastructure, procedures, and configuration standards.
  • Mentor junior voice engineers and provide training and technical guidance.
  • Stay current with industry trends and recommend innovative technologies to enhance voice capabilities.
  • Support unified communications systems (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex) and integrations.

Duties & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in voice engineering or unified communications roles.
  • Expert knowledge of VoIP, SIP, RTP, QoS, and call routing.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco CUCM, Avaya, Mitel, Alcatel, Microsoft Teams Voice, or other major platforms.
  • Proficient in voice security, compliance, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and protocols.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Cisco CCNP Collaboration (or higher)
  • Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer Expert
  • Avaya / Mitel / Alcatel Certifications
