Senior Video Editor

We are seeking a Senior Video Editor to finalize and elevate our content with a meticulous eye for detail, creative sensitivity, and strong post-production leadership. This is a hybrid role that blends editing expertise, mentoring junior editors, and supporting production logistics where needed.

Key Responsibilities

Final Editing & Content Production

• Take over draft edits and finalize episodes, and help with the editing of trailers, teasers, and social media cutdowns.
• Ensure each episode is polished to the highest standard emotionally compelling, visually clean, and aligned with the #ABtalks tone.
• Oversee color correction, subtitle syncing, sound mixing, and transitions when needed.
• Work with different formats and aspect ratios to supply content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.

Social Media Content Coordination

• Provide the Social Media team with edited assets tailored to platform needs (hooks, reels, cutdowns, etc.).
• Ensure timely delivery of all required assets post-episode.
• Collaborate closely with the social team to understand content requirements and translate those into actionable edits.

Team Mentorship & Workflow Oversight

• Mentor and guide junior or freelance editors on technical quality and creative expectations.
• Maintain consistency across all editing outputs and ensure brand alignment.
• Work with producers and show directors to ensure smooth handovers between production and post-production.
• Ensure all deadlines are met and troubleshoot any production/post delays.

Production Support

• Support studio or on-location setup as needed (camera angles, lighting, sound requirements).
• Join recces ahead of major shoots to assess technical needs and ensure a smooth shooting day.
• Advise on shoot best practices from an editing perspective to ensure efficiency in post.

File Management & Quality Control

• Organize and archive project files, raw footage, and final edits following company protocols.
• Ensure all final assets meet internal standards for resolution, audio clarity, pacing, and branding.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional video editing experience in a fast-paced production environment.
• Mastery of relevant editing suite software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and other relevant post-production tools.
• Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to edit emotionally driven, interview-based content.
• Comfortable working across long-form and short-form video.
• Knowledge in subtitle formatting, color grading, sound mixing, and visual transitions.
• Experience in content formatting for multiple platforms (YouTube, IG, TikTok, etc.).
• Basic motion graphics skills.
• Experience managing or mentoring editing teams.
• Familiar with basic studio and field production set-ups (lights, mics, cameras, etc.).
• Willingness to do recces and assist with production logistics when needed.
