A leading company in the UAE seeks a strategic IT leader to oversee operations, manage vendor relationships, and enhance service delivery. The role requires extensive experience in IT operations management and strong leadership skills. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree and proven success in managing diverse IT teams.
Pivotal leadership role within the IT department, responsible for overseeing end user support, application managed services, and infrastructure managed services.
Critical in ensuring that IT services are delivered efficiently and effectively, aligning with the organization's business objectives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operational Leadership
Oversee daily operations of end user support, application management, and infrastructure services to ensure high performance and service availability.
2. Strategy Development
Develop and implement IT operational strategies aligned with overall business goals, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems.
3. Vendor and Outsourcing Management
Manage relationships with vendors and outsourcing partners, ensuring contracts meet company needs and are effectively executed.
4. Service Delivery Optimization
Monitor and improve IT service delivery using in-house and outsourced solutions. Evaluate delivery models to optimize cost and efficiency.
5. Team Leadership and Development
Lead IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
6. Budget Management
Develop and manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource allocation.
7. Technology Upgrades and Implementations
Oversee assessment and deployment of new technologies to enhance operations.
8. Incident and Crisis Management
Lead responses to incidents and outages, minimizing impact on business activities and customer service.
9. Performance Metrics
Define and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of IT service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT operations management within large, diverse groups, preferably in Managed Services delivery.
- At least 7+ years in a managerial role.
- Extensive experience with IT outsourcing, managed services, cloud solutions, and on-premise systems.
- Proven vendor management and partnership skills.
- Strong leadership and large operations management experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of current IT trends, security, and best practices.
- Certifications such as ITIL, PMP are preferred.
